I took this picture of Mikey a few years ago, and got to meet him briefly afterwards. An amazing performer & producer and a brilliant broadcaster, Mikeys influence stems way beyond reggae into many other forms of music.
He’ll be missed.

One of our guilty pleasures here at dub.com is checking out what rare dub lps sell for on ebay.
Granted some of these are truly rare items, but is it just us or has the price of dub vinyl gotten a little extreme lately? Though some of these you’d just have to have right?
One of our favorite not-strictly dub websites to listen to is the hype machine, a very clever website that looks at other music blogs and links all the mp3s together. Its worth checking out even if the music you think you might find there isn’t your thing, because you might find other sites and blogs worth reading, like the excellent Burning Dervish blog, and their recent post on Jah Lloyd’s Final Judgement LP
And Burning Dervish comments led us to: http://www.dubandreggae.com/ which looks like its well on its way to becoming a great community site for dub and reggae fans.
